# Test Generator

![Banner](https://3321078861-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FGs5aM0ieFmNKqLU6gqpk%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-34a0f57dbd3a35d670038f249f12eabdf1e7be18%2FTG.png?alt=media)

This feature builds upon the advanced capabilities by introducing **Memory**. When the memory feature is enabled, the AI not only analyzes your requirements but also refers to the latest executed tests for that specific website. This ensures context-aware scenario generation that aligns with your most recent testing activities.

1. Click the ***Create Script*** button.

   ![Creating Scripts 1](https://3321078861-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FGs5aM0ieFmNKqLU6gqpk%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-f232089ea0ae4e982268a82bbf25c0f8c08c5e7f%2Ftgv2-new-script-2-stage.png?alt=media)
2. Select the ***Create with AI - with Memory (beta)*** option.

   ![Select AI with Memory](https://3321078861-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FGs5aM0ieFmNKqLU6gqpk%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-3f26767fc74c239318a12bd3e0a41fd1bd6ea6f7%2Ftgv2-test-generator-start.png?alt=media)
3. On the configuration screen, check the **Memory** checkbox to enable this feature.

   ![Enable Memory Checkbox](https://3321078861-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FGs5aM0ieFmNKqLU6gqpk%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-4071ac046c85af85f80f48fe8e86e7bf62d29b7b%2Ftgv2-memory-check.png?alt=media)
4. Once the Memory checkbox is enabled, a new input field will appear. Provide the **URL of the website** for which you want to generate tests and test scripts.

   ![Provide Website URL](https://3321078861-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FGs5aM0ieFmNKqLU6gqpk%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-31b7f3b864771e422cc622e6dd5438d6ecd80337%2Ftgv2-app-url.png?alt=media)
5. Choose your preferred method for generating the scenarios:
   1. [From Jira](#from-jira)
   2. [From Rally](#from-rally)
   3. [From Azure DevOps](#from-azure-devops)
   4. [Using description](#using-description)
6. Fill in the required details (Jira issue ID or Use Case Description) and click **Generate Test Scripts**. The AI will generate relevant test scenarios by combining your input with the context from the latest executed tests for the provided URL.
7. Once the scenarios are generated, they will be displayed on your screen. Review them to ensure they meet your testing objectives.

   ![Review Memory Scenarios](https://3321078861-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FGs5aM0ieFmNKqLU6gqpk%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-29c3c894cce35af0e6b3bb7f94ac129ebeb5ece4%2Ftgv2-generate-scenarios.png?alt=media)
8. At this stage, you can either export the selected scenarios or start step generation for the selected scenarios and export later with steps.
9. Export your selected scenarios to test in the platform:
   1. After the generation is completed, select the required scenarios and click on **Export Test Script(s)**.
   2. A dialogue box will appear, showing the module and button to **Export Scripts** to confirm export.

      ![Export Options Dialogue](https://3321078861-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FGs5aM0ieFmNKqLU6gqpk%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-0fa54744e0e76b000e8863f9fb983db50e93b3c8%2Ftgv2-export-scenarios.png?alt=media)
10. Once exported, the steps will be shown under the same module where you initiated the AI creation process.
11. If you don't wish to export at this stage and plan to go ahead with step generation, select the scenarios and click on **Generate Steps**.

    ![Generate Steps](https://3321078861-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FGs5aM0ieFmNKqLU6gqpk%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-51077a724ea850bc27b2b90ea6e9023f813b555e%2Ftgv2-generate-steps.png?alt=media)
12. Clicking on **Generate Steps** will show the view below. It will have 2 tabs: **Steps Pending** and **Steps Ready**. The **Steps Ready** tab will show the script for which step generation was triggered. Since this is streaming, you can see the counter of steps increasing as they get generated. At this stage, you also have the **Stop Step Generation** button to cancel the generation for the running scripts.

![Streaming of Steps](https://3321078861-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FGs5aM0ieFmNKqLU6gqpk%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-2ca0359d3585cc520ff4dcc18e677ddaecbeca2f%2Ftgv2-streaming-steps.png?alt=media)

13. After step generation is complete, the view below will be shown. You can click on the step counter button to view the generated steps and edit them if required. You can also select the scripts at this stage and export them with steps. The **Steps Pending** tab is still available so you can go back, select more scenarios, and start step generation.
