Background

  • Executing the SAP specific identified test cases manually is time-consuming and time-dependent, requires attention of both functional and technical resources, availability of team to perform testing on weekends and off business days is a major challenge.

  • One simplified Qyrus application for SAP-specific tests, encompassing areas such as System Landscape & Performance Monitoring, System Communications, Background Jobs, and more.

  • Improved user experience -- Qyrus RST real-time KPI reports help in detection of critical issues and to take timely corrective actions in order to reduce impact on business operations.

  • Enhanced Decision-Making: By leveraging the insights gained from RST reports, decision-makers can make choices regarding system optimizations, upgrades, and resource allocation, contributing to overall system efficiency.

Prerequisite

Onboarding client onto the Qyrus platform and configuring the necessary SAP system(s) for Qyrus Robotic Smoke Testing.

Login to Robotics Smoke Testing app in Qyrus

Login to Qyrus using the URL and with your credentials.

Choose the SAP System

In the launch page, users can view all the SAP systems configured in Qyrus, select system on which user is responsible for performing testing.

The user can easily switch between systems for conducting smoke testing to view the Dashboards with key KPIs provide real-time status updates for each instance, including availability, system performance, system communications (ALE and RFC), operating system status, specific functional transactions, and more.

Robotics Smoke Testing KPIs

Based on the user selected SAP system, RST performs the testing and generates the KPIs reports and dashboards for users with real-time data with appropriate traffic lights like Green, Amber and Red enabling you to proactively identify and address potential issues before they significantly impact SAP operations.

System Availability

The availability of the system plays a crucial role in SAP operations. RST provides real-time updates on the status of SAP instances, enabling proactive steps to maintain uninterrupted system uptime.

Operating System

This KPI provides insights into the health and performance of your system resources like CPU utilization, Memory and Monitored Processes.

System Performance

This KPI provides detailed insights into the performance of SAP systems, helping administrators to identify and address any performance bottlenecks or issues promptly.

Background Processing

This is crucial for ensuring that all the business critical tasks are executed as scheduled and completed successfully. Here users can view the details for long running and Aborted jobs details for necessary actions.

Shortdumps

This section provides detailed information about the program errors, alert information for troubleshooting by administrators and developers.

Communications

RST simplifies the monitoring of Application Link Enabling (ALE) and Remote Function Call (RFC) communications, ensuring seamless data exchange between SAP systems.

Critical Number Ranges

Critical number range alerts in SAP are vital for preventing disruptions caused by exhausted number ranges. RST alerts help users proactively monitor and manage number ranges for smooth and efficient operations of business processes.

Transport System

RST generates alerts if there are dependencies or conflicts between transport requests. This helps administrators address potential issues before transporting changes to target systems.
