Auto-generate data⚡

Introduction

The auto-generate feature is available while creating a manual table. It provides randomized data based on "category-based" and "example-based" criteria, ensuring diverse and realistic test scenarios.

1. Category-based data 🗂️

The category-based data feature allows effortless data population based on predefined categories such as animals, names, colors, vehicles, addresses, phone numbers, and more.

Consider an example where we need to verify a test step using random data fields like name, company, and phone number. This particular feature automates data population within these categories if they are chosen, simplifying the process of generating relevant and varied test cases.

2. Example-based data 🧪

The example-based data feature automatically generates data, such as email addresses, number patterns (e.g., PIN numbers, phone numbers, indices, PIN codes, credit/debit card numbers), country codes, days, months, and more.

This feature also includes:

  1. Credit/debit card networks (e.g., Visa, MasterCard, etc.)

  2. Personal names (e.g., First names, last names, etc.)

  3. Numeric values with percentages (e.g., Interest rates, rate of change, etc.)

  4. IDs with a combination of characters and numbers (e.g., SSN, service request ID, etc.)

  5. Different account types

  6. Amounts and currencies

  7. Dates and datetimes

  8. Card expiry dates

  9. Numeric values with metrics (e.g., weight, height, etc.)
