Create Project

Last updated 1 year ago

To initiate the creation of a project, locate the prominent Create Project button. Click on this button to begin setting up your project within the Component Service. This will open the interface to set up a project with relevant details.

Provide the project name, description, team members, and their respective roles. And click Create Project to instantly generate your project.

After project creation, you will be directed to the component dashboard page. It comprises three key sections:

User Roles

  • Designer

Designers have the ability to design and test components. However, they are not authorized to approve a component for sending it to the testing stage.

  • Reviewer

Reviewers are responsible for designing, testing components, and approving them for the testing stage. Significantly, components that reviewers design are automatically approved.

  • Tester

Testers are primarily focused on testing approved components. They do not possess the authority to design components or approve them for the testing stage.

Edit, Delete & Clone

After creating the project, click on the three dots associated with the project. This will reveal options to edit, delete, and clone the project.

  • EDIT - Upon clicking the "Edit" option, the same interface will open, allowing you to modify the project name, description, and user roles. You can make the necessary changes and then update the project accordingly.

  • DELETE - Additionally, you have the option to delete the project.

  • CLONE - You also have the option to clone the project, which will create an identical copy. The cloned copy will follow this format: project-name_copy_cloned-date. Below is an example :

Note: The Design button will be disabled for Testers since they do not have authorization.
